The Schrodt feeders are by far the best hummingbird feeders I've encountered. I've used them for years and order them again and again. They are attractive, sturdy, and most importantly, easy to clean (though you do need an assortment of brushes). Yes, sometimes part do wear out and need to be replaced.. but this usually doesn't happen for several years!
It is different from the standard feeders---very nice and matches my home decor---the hummingbirds love it and used it the first day I hung it---easy to take care of.
As soon as we opened our new humbird lantern feeder one of the red flowers fell off. Upon refilling the feeder, the second time; another flower fell off. It is still functional I guess, however, we were disappointed. It was very difficult to get the base on the bottle and we were afraid that we were going to damage the base upon construction of the feeder. It finally went on and it does come off readily now. It is a replacement feeder for the one that we used to have. We enjoyed the first one so much ( about 10 years) that we really wanted another one. I'm sorry the appearance is without the flowers, however the birds are still coming and we continue to change the sugar water every 4 days. Thank you for caring enough to ask.
