Bird's Choice Squirrel Proof Classic Bird Feeder with Pole and Squirrel Baffle

This feeder is great! I wore out the last one that I had purchased a number of years ago. I have a wooded property and many squirrels but this feeder keeps the food just for the birds. Please don't stop making them. Thank you!

Squirrels were driving me crazy and eating most of the bird food until I purchased this Classic bird feeder with the built-in squirrel baffle. It works. It has been 100% effective in keeping the squirrels from getting to the food. All they can do is scrounge on the ground for the seed that the birds toss to the ground.

I have watched and finally saw a squirrel attempting to go up and he stuck his head in the hole and decided there was no way he would try that very pleased but would like other things bird feeders but less costly.

I bought this feeder for my son and his family for Christmas to replace one that was broken, and it was a hit. I already had one just like it that I had gotten a few Christmas's ago and it is a good product, and a bargain for the price.

I have one that finally gave up the ghost after 22 years. Best feeder ever except when super squirrel moved in - he can jump 20 feet to the top of the feeder from a tree. Fooled him though I put Crisco on the feeder cap. Funny to watch!

This is truly the first real squirrel-proof feeder I have ever purchased. They try and try but are not able to get into it. Quite comical and entertaining! We liked it so much we bought a 2nd one.

It is fabulous. I have a hard time keeping it full but the squirrels can't get to it.

The "Bird feeder with Built-In Squirrel Baffle and Pole - Green" has been in use for about 2 months and it is the first bird feeder that I have used that lives up to the description "squirrel proof"! The squirrels stay on the ground. Another set of perches and feeder ports would be nice if possible.

I am so excited to finally have a true squirrel proof bird feeder. I almost gave up on feeding the song birds because the squirrels were eating most of the bird seed and, even bird seed is expensive these days. This bird feeder is made of high quality material. I'm sure the birds and I will enjoy it for years!!

This feeder is a bird lover's dream, and the birds love it, too! The built-in baffle on the pole is a great feature and the squirrels definitely cannot eat the seeds as long as you don't put it near a tree where they can jump onto it. Another great product for bird lovers!

This bird feeder works great. At first I thought the pole was too short and the racoons would find a way up the pole, but that isn't the case. It's just the right height. It was easy to put in the ground. The birds love it and we get to watch them eat while we are in our family room. It's enjoyable.

The Backyard Chirper is the best bird feeder I have ever tried, and I have tried many. It is truly squirrel proof, if you don't place it close enough to a tree to jump on. It holds a very generous amount of seed, so you don't have to fill so often. It gets five stars from me.

This squirrel proof feeder DOES KEEP THE SQUIRRELS OUT. It is quite funny to watch them try to get in it. As smart as they are they can't get in it.

Very pleased. The size is good and it is more pleasing to the eye than some other squirrel proof feeders. Fun to watch the birds succeed and the squirrels fail!

My reason for the 3 is because the birds spill the food to the ground and so the squirrels still can get some food but not as much as they were getting before I purchased this feeder. It is an improvement over the several other feeders that I have. If the feeder had a wider bottom or something to catch the food before it gets to the ground that would solve my problems.

Hi, I'm writing this review because I've contacted Birds Choice directly and have not heard back. First, the Birds Choice Classic bird feeder with Squirrel Baffle and Pole does exactly what it claims. Squirrels don't bother with it and all kinds of birds enjoy using it. In my yard, it is most popular with the finches because it is in a quiet area far away from a platform feeder that attracts larger, flocking birds like starlings and blackbirds. Mourning doves enjoy the seeds that fall to the ground. For me, it functions as a backup feeder that I don't have to fill everyday and gives me some peace of mind when I go away for the weekend. But, I wouldn't recommend having only one kind of feeder unless the only reason you are feeding birds is your own viewing pleasure. Now, for the bad. I just washed my feeder in dish soap and hot water and the finish came off. The green enamel is now dull and streaked. The feeder still works just fine, but looks terrible and since it was relatively expensive and is visible from my back patio where we entertain, I'm not happy about it. I don't care what my other feeders look like. I do remember this feeder came with unusual care instructions, but I can't find them now. Still, you should be able to wash a feeder with soap and water.
